You must be registered with the GSCC to start work. Please keep in mind that the GSCC require 16 weeks to process applications. Jobs to start 8 – 10 weeks after interview.

· Family Support teams
· Looked After Children teams
You will be undertaking a caseload of statutory work in child protection, working with children, young people and their families.
In the assessment teams your work requires you to assess situations and determine the need for intervention or support. In Family Support teams the work requires longer-term work with children and young people, including child protection and care proceedings. Looked After Children’s teams work with young people in state care.
You will be expected to: achieve positive outcomes; identify and facilitate appropriate services and resources, regularly monitoring and reviewing services to ensure they are provided effectively; maintain full and accurate records, preparing and presenting reports at court; participate in case reviews/conferences and provide recommendations, evidence and written assessments for legal proceedings.
